At Learn4Life, an education management organization focused on providing flexible learning solutions for at-risk students, I was instrumental in developing multimedia content that supported the organization’s mission to improve educational outcomes. Leveraging my skills in video production, motion graphics, and design, I crafted engaging materials that enhanced Learn4Life’s outreach and impact.
As a storyteller, I was thrilled to help promote the great work of learn4life schools and what better way to do that than by documenting the success stories of students themselves? I would conduct the interviews, edit them down into shorter concise narratives, ad motion graphic titles, and music.
Learn4Life schools covered several states and here's one example of many success stories to come out of Columbus, OH.
Sometimes videos had different audiences and so I would produce content to explain topics to key stakeholders.
Though I established a brand style for Alumni Success Stories, sometimes administration wanted to capture big events and create stylized video content to showcase on social media, both to promote the good works of the school and to show off the talents of the students. These types of projects gave me fun opportunities to flex different creative muscles in motion graphics and effects.
Another such success story to show off about our students and schools was when IT students went head to head against the Learn4Life IT Department... and won!
Capturing such moments in documentary form was a thrill. This was another opportunity to push my boundaries and animate electric text and take 2D images and make them feel like 3D using Photoshop and After Effects.
One of my favorite videos to produce as I also got to work as a chaperone for a group of high school students on an epic trip to China!
One of the most emotional videos I had to make. Shortly after we pushed this for the world to see, one of the sisters was tragically killed. Her success is still a positive legacy, but this video also became a memorial.
