Picture a game where players collect NFT cards of Gods, Demigods, and Mortal Gladiators each featuring unique abilities and stats where players can take their NFTs to the arena and battle for ultimate glory.

OGM aimed to create a seamless and engaging web experience for users to:

Mint NFTs – Generate unique Gods, Demigods, and Gladiator cards.
Build a Deck – Strategically assemble a team for battles.
Compete in an Auto-Battler – Enter 1v1, 2v2, or 3v3 fights with NFTs.

However, blockchain-based gaming presents common usability barriers:

🔴 Complicated NFT Minting – Many Web3 users struggle with wallet connections and gas fees.

🔴 Confusing Deck Building – Players need guidance on card stats, affinities, and synergies.

🔴 Unclear Game Mechanics – Smooth onboarding experience was critical for adoption.

User Research & Empathy Mapping

To design an experience that welcomed both crypto veterans and newcomers, I conducted user research and competitive analysis of existing NFT games.

🎮 Hardcore Gamers → Wanted deep strategy, transparency in card stats, and fair matchmaking.

💰 Crypto Enthusiasts → Needed clear NFT ownership details and marketplace functionality.

🆕 Casual Players → Desired an easy-to-use minting and battle experience, with simple tutorials.

Key frustrations included:

Overwhelming interfaces in blockchain gaming platforms.

A lack of visual clarity in NFT attributes and battle synergies.

Confusion about how staking, breeding, and battle rewards worked.

I designed an intuitive, visually engaging platform focusing on accessibility and engagement.

By prioritizing usability, strategic depth, and engagement, the OGM website made NFT gaming approachable while maintaining high-level competitive mechanics.

The OGM project proved that great UX can simplify blockchain gaming. By focusing on clarity, accessibility, and intuitive gameplay integration, we built a Web3 experience that both NFT collectors and hardcore gamers could enjoy.
